This morning, our small studio opened its doors to a group of 40 students from Dasein Academy.
I had the privilege of leading a tour and discussion, guiding them through our space and sharing insights about our work. I wasn’t sure how we’d manage to fit so many people in our studio, but it worked out perfectly.
The close quarters didn’t feel crowded at all, instead they created a warm, cozy atmosphere that made everyone feel connected, like we were all part of the same creative journey.
The students were curious and engaged, asking thoughtful questions about our process, the challenges we face in the industry, and how we bring ideas to life.
Their enthusiasm was hopeful, and I found myself enjoying the chance to share my perspective on what it means to work in this field.
We talked about everything from our daily operations to the bigger picture of staying inspired and navigating a competitive industry.
It was a refreshing exchange, and I hope they left with a clearer sense of what this career can be.
Interactions where education meets industry are so valuable.
They bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world practice, giving students a glimpse of what lies ahead while allowing us to learn from their fresh perspectives too.
I believe these moments can strengthen our industry by fostering collaboration and sparking new ideas that push us all forward.
To the Dasein students who visited: thank you for bringing your energy and great questions to our studio. As you approach graduation, I wish you all the success in your creative pursuits.
Keep asking questions, stay curious, and know that you have a bright future ahead. We’re excited to see how you’ll contribute to the industry.
